The league was launched in 2012
to give Bedfordshire clubs the opportunity to play competitive cricket in good
conditions while minimising travel.
The League will ensure
suitability of grounds and facilities by insisting that all teams comply with
ground/facilities criteria as set by the League’s AGM. This will include
control of the playing area and wicket preparation, together with suitable changing
and tea facilities.
The current format is 40 overs
with the side scoring the most runs winning. No scoring or losing draws. Teams
can agree to reduce the number of overs and/or change the start time. The idea
is to be a club friendly league and give clubs and players the type of cricket
